Our mission
is to inform and inspire the contemporary Baptist woman to influence her
world for Christ.
Our purpose is to pray
for missionaries, promote missions and look for opportunities where we can
make a difference, whether it is in our community, state or around the
world.
Baptist Young
Women monthly meetings are led by Russa Edgington and Melissa Doolin. They
are scheduled the first Monday night of each month at 7:00 but are
subject to change. Please contact one of them for information.
Our church collects empty print cartridges for
reimbursement. The money goes in the missions account. Please bring
your cartridges to church and place in the box provided or give them to me
- Shirley Woods. I also have shipment baggies for your convenience; just
mail the print cartridges in the baggie and the church gets
credit automatically.
Do you even bother to bend over and pick up a
penny when you find it? Think they aren't worth it? Save them for
the "Mile of Pennies" which goes to the Sunrise Children's
Services (formerally Baptist Children's Homes). We reached the one-mile
mark in 2006 and are now working on our second mile. A mile of
pennies laid end-to-end is worth is $844.80! Bring them to
church.
